All starts in Brittany
"Les poupées grand-mère" is a french handcraft firm, created in Brittany, France
, in 1976 by Rose-Aimée SALMON. Firstly sold at the " Salon des ateliers d'art" in Paris, the family company's dolls received a word success since the birth, distributed by 250 sellers worldwide.
The inspired creations of Rose-Aimée are unique pieces made of linen, wood and cotton. All our providers are settled in France.
The seam and manufacturing workshop is based in Paimpont in the area of Broceliande, Mage Merlin's territory. Pure breton product, our dolls are objects of decoration and represent an original gift.
Today the firm is managed by the daughter and gran-daughter of Rose-Aimée, Evelyne and Sidonie. The souvenir of our grand-parents and the magic still continue.
Born in 1930, Rose-Aimée was always surrounded by the couture. Her parents owned a manufacturing hosiery and knitting business
. Graduated seamstress and designer, Rose-Aimée was first influenced by her grand-mother Mary. This kind women, who lived modestly, used to make her a bran doll for christmas
. Obviously influenced and marked by these gifts, Rose-Aimée created the "poupées grand-mère".
